Hi. Alex. This is Steve Silverman the old guy who was asking about your venues and got some Samba tips from Mark Walker after your gig in Gaithersburg, MD. Turns out I was one of the first students of Walter Salb, Allison Miller's teacher.I see that you are from my hood. I have family who grew up in Columbia, MD. I'm from Silver Spring. Intrigued by the story that might be behind "Montrose Towing". Anyway, just loved your playing and wish you all the best in your career. And Happy Birthday.

Hey Alex,
Dont know if you remember me, but you gave me lessons for a summer way back in 2005 or so. Back when you still fresh out of Wilde lake. I want to thank you for your lessons because i carried on with piano and am going to major in Music at NYU. Im a senior now. Just want to say your story inspires me because i can make like you did.
With Appreciation,

Great to meet you tonight at Zinc when we were paying our bill. Love your sound. Will look you up when I am around where you are performing. Maybe in Tokyo, but I think I am there closer to Christmas rather than November.
Take care,
Marty

I've been hearing a lot lately about an up and coming, very talented young jazz pianist, who has been playing all over the world to great acclaim! Denver, CO is waiting for him to book here with baited breath -- but alas, no engagements on Alex Brown's calendar for Colorado!!
Come on out -- I miss you and the CO jazz scene needs you ;-)
Hope you are well Alex. Drop me a quick line when you can and tell me how you are doing. Spain, that's awesome. Such a short stay though. I hope you are holding up OK with all the traveling around the world.
Love,
Aunt Julie

Hi Alex,
Sorry about the extra submissions. Just talked your mom to see if you were in MD this week, but was informed you are in Mexico with Paquito. Please give him my regards.
Nice web site, and congrats on your progress and successes. Keep doin' it. Am looking forward to catching you live one day soon – maybe in NYC.
I was in Toronto this past summer and visited with David Virelles and some of the Cuban musicians friends. He laid his CD "Motion" on me. If you haven't heard it, I think you might really enjoy it.
Otherwise, things are good here – a few age-related problems – still teaching at RU/staying in Camden, DE,
touring occasionally solo and with others. Catch you later, Stanley
